This is much better! This is just how we have grown accustomed to hearing Floor lead this band. If was done intentionally, I have no idea. This has really cleaned up the vocals nicely!

Great mix but I still prefer the original. The idea that Floor´s voice is part of the choir (=voices of generations) is grazy, bold and mindblowing.

Oh wow!! I thought the Nightwish Arena channel re-mix was good, but this beats even that one! It's as close to what I personally would've loved the actual mix to sound like. And yes, I know Tuomas meant the official mix to sound the way it did and I'm not disputing his artistic choice at all but...with Floor's voice lifted, this just sounds way better to these ears. Just my opinion and preference of course. I absolutely love this version. I know they won't, but I'd love it if they did a re-mix similar to this one and could somehow include it as a 'bonus' track on the album when it comes out in September....though I'm not holding my breath!

THANK YOU. I was in complete shock when I first heard this song and the official vocal mix was terrible. The mixers really have a lot of explaining to do. You, however, get a gold star. And a cookie.

To play the devil's advocate: I don't think the original was poorly mixed. It was just Tuomas trying to balance the extreme presence of Floor's voice with the rest of the band. Anyway, It is Nightwish band, and not Nightwish with a special guest Floor Jansen.

What makes you think you are smarter than Tuomas, the vocals were meant to be exactly the way it sounds....

You've done a superb job! I can listen and appreciate the song much better this way. I was not a fan of how the original mix really drowned out Floor and kept her vocals in the background.

Thank you so much for this. I didn't mind her blending into the choir, but it was really weird to have the synths and horn section where the lead vocals should be. This sounds like what it was supposed to be!

Would you like to call Tuomas and dictate to him how you want each of the rest of the songs on the album to sound? I mean, since you know better and all that. Yes this sounds good but it's not what they wanted. If they change the mix and re-release it I'll apologize, but for now I'm going to stick up for Tuomas. How insulting this is to him.

IMHO you ruined the mix! Nothing is done without a reason. And who are we to doubt Tuomos' reasons??? But I do wonder why at the end Troy's voice is much higher in the mix than Floor's in the full song. Misterious. Intreging. Must be beyond my/our intellect. Maybe a real insider (Tuomos??) can shine a light??

It's amazing how many fans of NW thought that Floor's voice was drowned in the mix. I did too, wondering why this happened? Was it an accident? But thanks to technology and fan power we have a nice version here where vocals is queen again :)

Not to be judgemental but Nightwish is a band, not a solo project. When you have a powerful voice like Floor's, you don't want to make it overpower the orchestra which does an equally amazing job. Everything must coexist in harmony, that's why their music is always so special. Tuomas is an amazing composer and maestro and all instruments (voice too) always have an equal part in the songs.

This sounds amazing. The original was poorly mixed. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the drowned out vocals.

Anyway I'm sure the current Nightwish line-up will correct the mixing to the official release of the whole album. But still... How did this mix up with vocals mixing happen in the first place??? I'm perpleaxed and mixed up myself too.

I think we should respect the way Tuomas wanted this song to be mixed. It is after all HIS music, not ours.

Jessie, its honestly not a criticism, the song is wonderful, lm used to Floor being front of stage. I've both versions now so that's me a happy bunny.

What caught me is how Tuomas gets this long musical journeys to be so interesting and I get bored more easily with a 3 minute 4 chord pop song than with something of this length. It is interesting that they now have bass much higher in the mix than they had when Hietala had been doing the job on fat strings in Nightwish. I miss his voice as much as bass playing. He would have made choruses of this song so much more uplifting.
